The Sparkle Run is a very popular race for our team, and we love the friendly 2 p.m. start time.  This Sunday afternoon race happens at DMAAC in Ankeny.  

A new adventure for our Team RunFree family.  8 Navigators and a few Captains will take part in this 75 mile race from Jefferson to downtown Des Moines.  The race takes part fully on the bike trail and it breaks down into 18 stages from 2.7 up to 5.8 miles.  Several stages will be just the Navigator running and we hope to have ,many race stages which also include our Captains.  This promises to be a fun one.  

This is a new race - at least for our team.  Looks to be a fun event that will match up well with our team.  They do have a 10K available, but we will focus on the 5K this day.  A 9:00 a.m. start is kinda nice as well.  They promimse good signage in Water Works Park to get us where we need to be.  

And of course we love supporting great causes.  Proceeds of this race are donated to help find the causes and cure for brain tumors.  Looking forward to this race !

Tha Van Meter Park2Park race is back again.  It rained on us a bit last year - but we are cheering for a dry race morning this year.  Easy access and parking for this small town race.  Runners even have the choice of a foam finish ... if they want.  Annnd .. after the race, all are welcome to head to the parade route to watch the Raccoon River Days parade.  :)

Team RunFree is 10 years old - and we are celebrating this 'smilestone' with another great Miles Of Smiles 5K (and a 2 mile walkers option) on Saturday, June 21 in Adel !  We did have to move to an 8 a.m. start this year ... sorry.  We are working to make this race extra fun and honoring for our TRF Captains and Blind Athletes.  Free Chick-fil-A sandwiches to participants, volunteers and TRF family.  

It will be the race of the year - join us !
